Chlorine Safety On-Line Program

NWPTRT013 Operate and control liquefied chlorine gas disinfection

This is an On-Line program for those who prefer to undertake their chlorine training for their operators using an On-Line learning process. The benefit of this program is that it can be done at a self paced manner and meets the needs of customers who are in remote locations and low number of students who need to be trained.

Chlorination System Operation

NWPTRT001 Operate and control water treatment processes

This program is specific to the operation of a chlorine gas system and covers the essentials of understanding how a chlorine system works and how to operate, monitor and control a chlorination system.

Chemical Safety Program

AHCCHM101A Follow basic chemical safety rules (1 Day)

This is a one day program which provides the details of how to manage, use, store and handle the chemicals in your workplace. The course can be customised to meet your specific range of chemicals you use.

Awareness and Refresher Training Programs

Ixom provide a number of Awareness and Refresher Training programs. These programs and modules are designed for those who need to undertake refresher training on a periodic basis to ensure you maintain your knowledge and skills. Chlorine Awareness Program

This is a half day program delivered Face to Face in your facility.

Chlorine Awareness and Refresher On-Line Program

This is an On-Line program for those who prefer to undertake their awareness and refresher training for chlorine users an On-Line learning process.

Chlorine Emergency Capping Equipment Training Module

This program is specific to the operators and emergency responders who require to know how to apply emergency capping equipment for chlorine containers if there is an emergency resulting from the chlorine container valve, body or plug.

Corrosives Awareness Training Module

This is a half day program which provides the details of how to manage, use, store and handle alkali and acid chemicals that are used in your workplace.

Fluoride Chemicals Awareness Training Module

This is a half day program which provides the details of how to manage, use, store and handle fluorosilicic acid, sodium fluoride and sodium fluorosilicate.

Sodium Hypochlorite Awareness Module

This is a half day program which provides the details of how to manage, use, store and handle sodium hypochlorite.

Sulphuric Acid Awareness Module

This is a half day program which provides the details of how to manage, use, store and handle sulphuric acid.

Our Resources

Ixom Training & Services Team

The Ixom Training & Services team comprise of trainers and assessors who have Cert IV Trainer & Assessor qualifications along with water and chemical industry applications experience.

They are located across Australia and can provide training in your state and location of operation.

Staff Qualifications

All Ixom Trainers and Assessors have a minimum of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and has demonstrated vocational competencies at least to the level of those being delivered or is under the direct supervision of a person with these competencies.
