IXOM New Zealand’s Stop & Think Event

In mid June, our IXOM New Zealand team hosted Stop and Think, an event where we get as many people from across our New Zealand business together and take some time to focus on safety, how we think about it and how we work together to achieve good safety outcomes.

We also focus on building an understanding of what day-to-day life is like for our colleagues across the business by creating a series of activities that put our people in each other’s shoes and experience the intricacies and complexities of their roles.

By spending time with each other and creating this shared understanding, we can further enhance our safety and effectiveness for the benefit of ourselves, our teammates and our customers.

Congratulations to New Zealand's Best Tasting Tap Water

Congratulations to InfraCore Rotorua Lakes Council’s Karamu Takina Spring, officially named New Zealand’s best tasting tap water for 2024 in the IXOM National Water Taste Test.

In the ultimate showdown, New Zealand’s sample went on to compete against Australia’s top drop in the inaugural IXOM Trans-Tasman Water Taste Test, but we’re no closer to ending the rivalry with the sample from Tasmania’s TasWater Fern Tree water treatment plant judged equally delicious!

Water samples are subjected to a blind taste test and rated according to the ‘Water Tasting Wheel’. The Wheel outlines some of the attributes water professionals use when assessing water such as colour, clarity, odour and taste.

The IXOM National Water Taste Test is a fun way to raise awareness of the quality of drinking water in New Zealand, and to recognise the efforts of local water operators and their teams to deliver valuable water services to their communities.

IXOM is proud to supply water treatment chemicals to plants all across Australia and New Zealand to help ensure communities continue to have world-class, high-quality water. To learn how we can help you, visit www.ixom.com/c/water
