Across Australia and New Zealand, IXOM supports dairy and food manufacturers with cleaning solutions that help maintain hygienic production environments, support product quality and improve operational performance.
If you're in the dairy industry, there's a good chance you've heard of "Milkey". It's the nickname Lyndon Cox has carried throughout much of his career, and one that's become so well known that some people start typing "Milkey" into an email before having to stop and remember his actual name. Lyndon has built a reputation not only for solving complex cleaning and process challenges, but for working alongside customers to ensure every interaction delivers a positive outcome (regardless of which name you know him by).
Today, as IXOM's Hard Surface Specialist, Lyndon combines deep technical expertise with practical industry experience to help manufacturers optimise cleaning systems, verify performance and improve plant efficiency.
Turning Cleaning Data into Operational Improvements
Lyndon brings more than 30 years of experience across the dairy and food and beverage industries in Australia and New Zealand. His background spans plant operations, technical services, commissioning new facilities, CIP verification and optimisation. This combination of operational and technical expertise allows him to work closely with customers to identify opportunities within their cleaning processes.
"Food and beverage manufacturers are experts at making high-quality products," says Lyndon. "My role is to help ensure their cleaning systems are performing as effectively and efficiently as possible."
Lyndon's work can range from reviewing cleaning programs and troubleshooting microbiological issues through to reducing cleaning times, improving plant utilisation and supporting product quality outcomes.
Unlocking Value Through Optimisation
Even well-established CIP systems can benefit from independent assessment. Small improvements in cleaning performance can deliver meaningful operational benefits across a manufacturing facility.
IXOM works with customers to:
- Optimise cleaning programs and process parameters
- Reduce water, energy and chemical consumption
- Improve cleaning verification and consistency
- Investigate product quality and microbiological issues
- Reduce cleaning cycle times
- Increase available production time
- Support hygienic cleaning outcomes
In some cases, customers are facing challenges that have existed for many years.
"There is always a lot of satisfaction in helping a customer solve a problem," says Lyndon. "Sometimes it is an issue they have been managing for a long time. When you can apply the right expertise, processes and chemistry to achieve an outcome, it creates real value for the customer."
Providing Confidence Through Verification
Verification is another important part of IXOM's support offering.
Lyndon regularly conducts on-site reviews to assess cleaning systems, inspect equipment and verify that operating parameters are aligned with hygienic cleaning requirements and industry best practice.
These assessments provide customers with detailed reporting and practical recommendations that support continuous improvement programs, compliance activities and operational decision-making.
"Verification is about giving customers confidence," says Lyndon. "We review the entire cleaning process and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations that help support performance and hygiene outcomes."
Expertise Backed by a Broad Chemical Portfolio
IXOM's technical capability is supported by one of the broadest ranges of food and beverage cleaning solutions across Australia and New Zealand.
This combination of specialist knowledge and chemical expertise enables IXOM to support a wide range of manufacturing applications. Where unique requirements exist, IXOM can also develop tailored solutions to meet specific operational needs.
For customers, this means access to both the chemistry and the technical expertise required to achieve the desired performance outcomes.
"One of the strengths of IXOM is the combination of people and products," says Lyndon. "We have experienced technical specialists, a comprehensive range of cleaning solutions and the ability to work closely with customers to solve complex challenges."
Supporting Food and Beverage Manufacturers Across Australia and New Zealand
Food and beverage manufacturers operate in an environment where product quality, hygiene and efficiency are closely connected. IXOM helps customers achieve these objectives through a combination of technical expertise, practical industry experience and cleaning solutions tailored to their operations.
Whether supporting a new facility, optimising an existing CIP program or investigating a long-standing plant challenge, IXOM works alongside customers to help deliver reliable, hygienic and efficient manufacturing outcomes.
