Ixom owns and operates a number of Major Hazard Facilities (MHFs) across its geographies.

Running MHFs require Ixom to comply with a large number of safety and regulatory conditions and in some instances obtain a licence to operate these facilities.

A key part of managing these sites is having robust Safety, Health and Environmental (SH&E) Management Systems, processes, procedures and practices that have been developed, are fit for purpose and verified.

Continuous safe operation of the MHF is ensured by the Ixom SH&E Management System. This provides a comprehensive and integrated management system for all aspects of control measures for these sites.

We recommend that businesses and the local community located near any MHF familiarise themselves with the safety procedures specific to their closest MHF location and follow Ixom on social media (@Ixom – Twitter) (IxomGlobal – Facebook) for latest information if there was a potential incident on site.
